This is a beautiful story of perseverance! Judi is incredibly honest and vulnerable and I felt like I was right there with her as she recounted her painful upbringing and the trauma that it caused. Judi is a self described foodie and what she has crafted in her book is a hearty meal of emotional comfort food! Judi’s story has moments of acid, things that could have left one with a bitter taste, but as she weaves through her story, you begin to see how all the ingredients line up to tell a story that is food to your soul. Her story is both unique, yet, sprinkled with a familiarity of common struggles to feel loved and accepted. It is compelling. I couldn’t stop reading on as she told of the miraculous way that God worked through her life. I finished Judi’s book being reminded of the power of God to restore and renovate our lives. Just like a great meal, I felt fueled up, yet anxious to have another course! Here’s to this being just the first of what Judi has to offer the world through her authenticity and her beautiful storytelling.
